Stay at home mom can make an income!

As a stay at home mom, I felt the need to have some kind of job I could do, while still homeschooling and raising my children. This site was built out of a need to find something to do as a supplemental income for our family. I wanted to be able to contribute to our household income. Let's face it, in today's society it is hard to make it on one income!

Could I have an internet business and work from home?

As a homeschooling mom, one day I stumbled upon a wonderful site called Homeschool Curriculum For Life. I really liked the information I found at this site, but also noticed some information about being a work at home mom and making an income building a successful website. I had never heard much about this, and was intrigued. Wendy, another stay at home mom, was the owner of this site, and was helpful and encouraging. She reassured me that I too could build a site, just like she had.

This peaked my interest...

It wasn't long before I was introduced to Site Build It After reading and researching I knew this was right up my alley. SBI talked about taking your interest, hobby or passion and turning that into a profitable website.

Now they had my attention!

I soon purchased my first SBI site, and the rest is history. After getting introduced to all the fabulous tools and resources with SBI, I figured out what I would do my first website about. "Cottage Home Decorating"! I realized I could take my love for decorating and turn it into profit. After all, decorating was one of those things I could talk about all day long! The thing that was most appealing about SBI was that it could work for anyone. I didn't have to have any previous HTML experience required, just basic computer skills. Anyone can do this, even a stay at home mom like me.

Other Work at Home Moms

Before long I was introduced to other stay at home moms, just like me, who were building websites for profit. They were finding a way to manage home, kids, and a business. I was so inspired by them. I met Lori very early on in my SBI journey. She has 6 kids, and now has two wonderful sites Stages in Pregnancy and WAHM Ideas.

Then there is Deena, a mom with 5 kids. She has built a very nice site about Real Country Living. These moms are proof that anyone can do this even in the midst of a busy life. If you would like to learn about more work at home moms (WAHM's) you can check out these moms as inspiration.

I will tell you that SBI isn't some "get rich quick scheme" You get out of it what you put into it. There is no high pressured sales job here, you control how well you do. I am happy to report that I am now making a steady supplemental income for our family, and am starting a second site on frugal living. I will soon be sharing that new site with you here.
