Choose luxurious silk sheets or wonderfully soft, high-quality cotton sheets for your bed. A bed skirt is a decorative way to hide the underside of the bed.

Lighting

The proper lighting is key in a bedroom. Bedside lamps or wall sconces provide the perfect amount of light for relaxing or reading when outfitted with a three-way bulb or dimmer switch. Candles are a wonderful way to bring soft light and a touch of romance. Mirror tiles on top of a bedside table, dresser, or vanity will reflect light and sparkle when you place candles, jewelry, or vintage perfume bottles on top.

This is one room in the home that should remain as clutter-free as possible. Use wicker baskets, vintage hat boxes, or underbed storage containers to organize your bedroom. Repurpose an armoire or bookshelf for storage purposes.
